Welcome to Four Forty-Six Photography!

Welcome to Four Forty Six Photography, the online gallery of photographer Greg A. Kiser.  It is here that I will showcase some of my photographic work.  Four Forty-Six Photography was started in the summer of 2005 as a simple web page hosted by AOL with a handful of my photographs.  What you are viewing currently is the third version of the online gallery.  Since its inception, we have grown by leaps and bounds to provide an enjoyable and interactive environment.  This gallery is here for you to enjoy and to visit frequently.

You will find the main navigation above and it is divided into two primary categories.  Site Navigation is the place to go for information about this website.  You will find a link to the
Gallery Store which is where you can start the simple process of ordering any of my photographic prints.  You will find detailed pricing charts for ordering prints from 5 x 7" all the way up to 17 x 25".  I also offer portrait services for those in the area of the Piedmont of North Carolina.  You will find additional pricing within that page.

For those that frequent Four Forty-Six Photography, there is a
New Additions button in the Site Navigation that will take you to a page dedicated to the new photographs that have been added in the current month.  In this page, you will find the date that the photographs were created, a link to the Photo Trek entry that details the Trek, and a link to the gallery room where the pictures are displayed.

Below the Site Navigation you will find the backbone of Four Forty-Six Photography....the actual Gallery Navigation.  I have broken the gallery into specific rooms to give a sense of an actual art gallery here on the web.  These themed rooms help to organize my photographs, preventing being overwhelmed by a hodgepodge of various images.  Below, you will find a more expanded version of the Gallery Navigation that includes an example of the photographs that can be found inside, as well as the number of images within the room.  The date that the room was last updated is also given to aid in finding the newest images.

Once inside the gallery room, you will find thumbnail images of my photographs.  By clicking on these small images, you will open a larger image in a new window that will show more of the detail and give a better idea about what the picture actually looks like.  The new images will be highlighted in yellow which makes them readily visible upon entering the room.  Occasionally, I will have an image posted with a notification above the thumbnail instructing you to mouseover for a B&W image.  When you see this, you can hover your mouse over the thumbnail image to view the thumbnail as a monochrome image.  To see the full size picture, there is a link below the thumbnail you can click.  Any of my images (excluding limited editions) can be converted, but there are a few that I think are particularly effective in black and white, and these will be on display in the actual gallery.  If you come across an image that says Featured Photo, you can click the link and read about that particular photograph in my
Behind the Camera Feature.  This is a monthly feature where I highlight one of my own photographs and tell a little about how it was created and what it means to me.

When viewing the different photographs throughout the gallery you might come across a Limited Edition.  These are photographs that hold special meaning to me, and are printed in limited numbers.  For those that would like to purchase a limited edition print, they are signed and numbered by the photographer and are accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.  They are limited to less than 20 prints...most are limited to five or ten.  Information for these prints can be found in the
Gallery Store.

Please keep in mind that the images that you are viewing here in the galleries have been compressed to a fraction of their original file size for use on the web.  There is no comparison between a web image and one that has been printed from the full sized image file.  When viewing these images, also keep in mind that individual settings on your monitor will affect things like color, brightness, and contrast.  The images here are to be used only as a guide, and should not be indicative of the final quality of the actual fine art print.  Great care is taken to ensure that each print is of the highest quality.  Each client print is quality checked by me before it is delivered.

I hope you enjoy your stay here at Four Forty-Six Photography.  Be sure to check back often as new images are being added several times a month.

Please respect my copyright and do not reproduce my images in any manner without my authorization.

Thank you,
Greg A. Kiser
